office, new york

This 5,000 square foot office required an open work area with adjacent support spaces that could be opened or closed for privacy depending on the current work.

Industrial materials were used to complement the loft-like space. This includes exposed steel studwork, translucent fiberglass panels, clear polycarbonate sheeting and maple plywood. The exposed concrete floor has been pigmented and finished with clear epoxy. Sliding panels and partial height walls, and ceiling planes that extend beyond the boundaries of the rooms they define, all work together to reinforce the notion of an open office.
